It's been a long eight months, but we're finally ready to present you all with our (still incomplete) new release: Pixen 3. Yes, even though the changelog is pages and pages long, we still have a fair amount of work ahead of us. The new palette and color-related UI and functionality is still especially flapping in the wind. Please excuse it: it will become much more advanced and usable before the final release.
Since this is a beta, we would really appreciate your input on anything and everything. UI and functionality are especially important. If anything rubs you the wrong way—even by a pixel—please let us know. If something doesn't behave the way you expect, please let us know. And of course, if something completely breaks or simply doesn't work, it's vitally important that we know.
Particular areas on which we'd appreciate your input are the backgrounds, the patterns, the palette (what's there so far; how it should work; what advanced features you'd like), the preview window, and the tiling mode. The release notes contain a more detailed account of what's new.

Pixen requires Mac OS 10.3 or greater. Please keep in mind that this is beta software; it's not necessarily meant for production work.
We're still putting all the materials together on this, so screenshot photography's fallen a bit behind. In the meantime, however, you can find a number of screenshots in this devlogs post.
